How's That Go Again?
Sadly it looks like a lot of GM workers will be jobless over the next couple years with restructuring as they call it.
What got my attention was a clip on CNN asking “what is a north american built vehicle?”. And I am currently reading up on some vehicles in anticipation of getting a new one soon, between now and the first month of the year.
Between those two information sources, I find some GM models with Chinese engines. Some with Honda engines. Chrysler has combined with a German company. Some model Honda cars are built entirely in the United States. And on it goes with each manufacturer.
Looks like there is no such thing as a North American car. Nor Canadian, American or whatever. Looks like they are world cars, with a combination of parts assembled everywhere. Is that good or bad? I don’t know.
Sounds like the call centre technique to me…
