This is November 11 - Remember
This is November 11, 2005. A day to remember. I had the opportunity to watch the Veterans train as it left the Halifax area for Ottawa a couple days ago, with smiling veterans on board.
By the current rules, I too am classed as a veteran. I did spend time in Europe, but did not participate in any wars or fighting. I did see some of the scars of the land where some of our veterans spent a time that they can never forget.
It is often said that myself and others would have done the same thing if we had to, because we were committed to the military. That is why we signed up. For me that is true.
But we didn’t have to – and that is a big difference – they did.
Thank You! I Remember. I Always Will!
