Satellite View
Wink: Banning the bra was a big flop.
One site I didn't visit for a long long time is Satellite view of the earth. This site lists a number of satellites that you can click on and get a fantastic view of the earth we live on. You can even zoom in or rotate to view different areas. By using various different satellites you can view the entire earth from different angles.
It is always kind of neat to view at different times of the day and actually see the day/night line as it moves across the planet.
Viewing at night allows you to see the bright spots where the most electricity is used. The Eastern United States seems to be the brightest.
Halifax and Sydney are the brightest in our region if you zoom in on Nova Scotia by using one of the ANIK satellites.
What got me interested in looking at these satellite views again is the recent talk of how we are destroying our planet earth. It is being said over and over again that we must do something soon, preferable now, to protect future generations. Things are happening fast.
Go to this site and take a look at our earth from one of these satellites. It makes where we live look awfully small, not huge and massive like the view from down here on the surface.
