CCleaner
Today another program to add to my favourite list of keeper programs. The name CCleaner kept appearing in newsletters I get and on sites that I visit as a should have program. It was even mentioned in many of the forums I frequent, so the time had come to try it out.
CCleaner is a neat little program that removes junk files and unused files from your computer, including cleaning up the registry.
It also has an uninstall module and another for checking the programs that start up when you boot your computer. It will also eliminate your tracks and history files of what you have been doing computer wise should you so desire.
I have used it on both Windows XP and Vista machines with equal success. It is a small program, easy to use and very fast.
You can read my full review of CCleaner along with a couple of suggestions on our sister site NSCAVE.
Saving the best part for last, it is also free, although they would be willing to accept a donation.
