Two Car Environment
These days the air is filled with crying and accusations when it comes to cars and vehicles. People complain of the high price of gas. We are accused of driving gas guzzlers - "Go buy an efficient model," is heard day after day, "save the environment."
Well I have another view about vehicles and the environment. Take a drive through your neighbourhood in the early evening hours. The highest number of houses will have two vehicles. Urban areas become congested with parked cars, with driveways filled, spilling over to on street parking.
Not many years ago, it was his and her towels. Now days it is his and her cars. Before you accuse me of driving a gas guzzling SUV, check your own driveway. Do you have two vehicles?
I have one vehicle on the road, who is using the most gas? Who is doing the most damage to the environment? Who adds the most to traffic congestion? A certain segment of the population always says, "Look at all the cars driving down the road with only one occupant." A lot of you can fix that - get rid of the second car and put both your posteriors in one.
Don't give me that crap about not being able to get along with one vehicle because of schedules and stuff. I don't buy that. Take away all the second cars(sometimes larger vehicles) from the two car families and look at how much less gas would be used. Look at how much less pollutants would be spewed into the environment.
We have become so greedy instead of realistic.
