Mac Mac Mac
I have nothing against Mac computers. I have never owned one. When I read up on them and hear about Macs, they seem to have their advantages or at least be an option.
What I get tired of is gooney TV programs that are obviously being paid to flaunt Mac. It is like a continuous advertisement stuck in your face. These are disguised programs that look like PC help programs full of tips and ways to help everyone with everyday computing. (Note: PC is a not quite correct general term used these days to describe the majority of personal computers.)
Then you see the laptops with the cover flipped open with the Apple symbol facing the camera. Then the comments:
- "Oh, you are running windows on a Mac."
- "I can't show you that right now because this is Windows."
- "This is the way it is on a Mac, Windows is a little different."
- "You got a Mac, Wow! Congratulations."
- "The Mac version is a little more expensive, but it's better."
The list could go on forever, but you get the point. The desktops are covered with Macs, showing the symbols and everyone is busy doing something in the Mac littered background. Not hard to tell who is footing the bill.
If you look closely, the Windows machines are stored under the tables and in the control room. For that is were the work horses are that are showing the displays and doing the switching.
Like it or not Windows is the most popular computer system out there. Mac could be superior in some areas. No argument. But this continuous wave of advertising is shoved in our faces rerun after rerun, under the guise of PC help programs.
