Did You Ever Talk To A Bad Driver?
You must have! You know how it is, you get to talking to some of your neighbours, your friends, or your friend's friends and quite often the subject of bad drivers enters the conversation.
The subject is always the same. Descriptions are plentiful about the experiences of encountering bad drivers every time you go out on the road. Don't get me wrong, every single one of us makes driving mistakes at one time or another. Being an ex-large vehicle instructor, I try my best to drive perfectly, but the little mistakes sometimes creep in and bring your attention to reality.
What if you are talking to one of those friends and the bad driver topic comes up and you know for certain the friend you are talking to is the worst type on the road? How do you handle that? There he/she is describing all the bad and terrible things all these drivers are doing to them. Yet you have observed this person more than once creating their own problems, and problems for many others.
Do you shut the conversation off? Do you go along with them and add your story? Do you let them know they are bad drivers?
I had this happen to me twice in one week. Both drivers are an absolute terror on the highway. Did I go along with their story? I suppose I did, but I elected not to add my own.
Now all my friends I have been talking to in the last couple of weeks are wondering if it is them.
As that modern saying goes, "Cool!"
