Avoid Crowds – Line Up
Today’s cartoon in our local newspaper hits the nail right on the head. The media and the medical businesses stand to make lots of money on this deal. Swine flu is serious business for all of us and since I may be traveling I need to get my shot somehow.
However I can’t see standing in long line-ups for hours to get one. Being short on patience, that doesn’t fit into my scenario. On top of that it seems to contradict what we have been previously told to do to avoid being exposed to the germ. I am beginning to understand all those sayings about organization.
Avoid public places and large crowds or gatherings. Cough into your sleeve. Avoid touching public objects as much as possible. Seems any of these four hour line ups would soon void all those precautions. Anytime I have been near any kind of line up, there are always some people coughing, spitting, smoking and breathing.
Four hours in that atmosphere should give our immune system a good test.
