Shopping in PCB
The first thing I had to do in my new winter location was to learn the local terms. Turns out PCB here is not harmful to your health. It stands for Panama City Beach.
Shopping centre’s are small here, one not far from our house is over a million square feet of retail space. Just a little place with decorated palm trees. It would take you a week just to walk around and see all the various stores large and small.
One thing did catch my eye, Victoria’s Secret is situated right beside the Maternity Store. Fancy that. Not sure what the connection is, but I heard they have good catalogues.
Then there was a shoe store that advertised buy one get 50% off the next. The first thing that came to mind was the ‘bogo’ crowd. Buy one get one free. That works real good with shoes. You might need the other one. But this buy one get 50% off the next is very clever. You could end up with half a shoe on one foot, or is it a smaller size and you can’t get it all the way on.
Sure I am having fun. 59 deg. F. is fine when you look at the highway cams back home and see –15 deg. C.
