Over the past few weeks I have read several articles that say, to make your blog or page popular quickly, the easiest way is to make lists.

People go quickly to numbered or bulleted lists and generally read them all the way through. So they say.

Here's my list about lists.

1) The majority of lists don't say much that couldn't be written in one sentence.

2) Readers speed read through the list and don't stay long.

3) Usually you have read before what is presented in the list.

4) The same list will always reappear rearranged at several sources over the next few weeks.

5) Then again, lists do work, you read this one.

   “Ok, I’ll be good.”
