Chase NASCAR

No not that chase

The "Chase for the Sprint Cup" is the highlight of the NASCAR season, what most of us NASCAR fans like to watch on TV.

I'm talking about a different chase. It could be called chase the channels or something.

Chase The Channels

Its different in Canada than the United States, which is pretty much normal when it comes to TV. Recently though the changes became a little more disturbing, to me anyway.

There was a lot of talk about Fox1, which it seems applies mostly to the US, even though we get that channel. Throughout the week it has had some NASCAR stuff on it.

Lets Put Race day On Two Channels

So today with the start of Michigan race, the (channel) chase begins. In my location, the pre-race show is on TSN2.

But the actual race is on TSN. Granted the crawler on the bottom told you that, about 5 minutes before race start time.

Not knowing that, previously I spent time surfing the channel guide trying to figure out where it would be shown. I was almost at the point of giving up when I found it.

Will this lose NASCAR viewers due to the confusion? Too bad these contracts have to be so scattered . Its all about money I suppose, not the viewer.

Thank goodness we are in the age of remotes. Just think how stressful it would be if we had to get up and go to the TV to change channels.

Now that I think of it, maybe that was a bonus of the old days. We only had one channel, no problem to find anything.
