More on moving
More on moving – I am not sure if Murphy has something to do with this or what, but usually one or two, sometimes more will happen to you.
- That relatively flat driveway suddenly grew an incline that makes each piece of furniture weigh more times the number of trips up it.
- The doors knew you were coming. At least one of them will scrape on the casing and be hard to close.
- Those three or four steps multiplied and got steeper. (Maybe they are friends with the doors.)
- The stairway is narrower, and the furniture won’t bend around the bend.
- The first light bulb to burn out is always the unreachable one.
- How do those floor squeaks get to move with you?
- After all the help leaves there is always one heavy item that has to be moved.
There is nothing like it. Otherwise, why would people do it so often?
