Busy Time
This is a busy time of year, and more so when you have weird things going on. Miz D at the Cloud Niner is looking for a man in her Christmas stocking. That would take some doing, getting that down the chimney, let alone stuffing it into a sock.
I still haven’t got my famous Arr Sea Eh! TV from Cons fixed yet. Got fed up for now and moved the old one back to the living room too, now we have two of them there. One is good for watching shows and the other for watching our reflection in. The reflection one is the best, coolest cartoon characters I have ever seen.
I am still looking for a new vehicle too. If the price is right, the interest rates are too high. Get 0% interest and you get the vehicle further down the scale. If the interest rate and the price are both reasonable, then you have to add a ‘Preferred Option” package to get what you want, and then it’s circle time again, back to the same old overpriced level.
One thing I do notice about new vehicles though, the prices are out of this world. At the same time, they have much more on them than they did a few years ago. That’s nice in a way, but one that gets me is air conditioning. Yes I want it. But you have no choice now days, it is standard on everything except larger trucks. But right away you have to pay $100. tax on the air conditioning over and above the normal federal and provincial taxes. Neat grab.
Now the other thing I notice about stores this Christmas season is their aisles. Last year it was tripping over boxes of stuff on the floors nearly everywhere. This year it is pallets of stuff blocking the aisles so you can’t even get through without retracing your steps to get around. Whatever happened to stocking shelves at night and having a neat and tidy store?
