That Explains It

I have not commented on the news lately, so today I will explain my view of some of the weeks highlights.

Our first snow storm brought the usual number of “dozens of crashes”. One that really gets me is one that happened on the famous 101 highway.  “the car was eastbound and passing traffic when it went out of control on an icy patch and crossed into the path of the westbound van.” Says part of the quote. Another loss of life because drivers won’t slow down and adjust to conditions, not to mention the rush to pass under those same conditions.

A driver with a second impaired driving conviction gets off because he is attending rehab training on his own. Still another 101 driver I might add. Second – do we all have to drive among obstacles such as this with our families until they reach the second stage? No wonder MADD get mad!

Finally there is the story of a mother, on maternity leave, who takes her baby to the arena for curling championships. Isn’t maternity leave to help raise the child? Children today don’t stand a chance. This story seems to indicate this is a great accomplishment. I disagree.

Our society is gradually following apart. The next time it snows, watch the little flakes as they come down one by one. That is our world falling apart – that fast. That’s the way I see it anyway.
