Three's A Crowd
Lately I have been looking at new vehicles, test driving them and looking for year end price reductions. The various models are loaded with gadgets to lure the buyer from the competing makes.
This one fits in with the ‘radio in the toaster’ category. One vehicle I looked at had bucket seats in the front, with a console in the middle, and three cup holders. One cup holder swung out towards the driver, the other towards the passenger, and the third was kind of in the middle.
Now there is no place for a third passenger in the front of this vehicle and it can’t be reached easily by rear seat passengers. So what is the third cup holder for?
Does that mean the driver gets two kinds of beverages and the passenger only one? Or is it the other way around? This may add new meaning to his and hers.
Cup holders are kind of limited in their use and can’t be used for much else. Put change in it and you can’t get it out. Stuff a hot dog in it and it makes a mess. Put your cell phone in it and it ends up under the seat.
But for sure, that model has three of them. So far I haven’t found any other that does, not in front anyway. And by gosh it is listed in the brochure as a feature…
