As The World Turns
Another sunshineless single digit week passed by already.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Take That Somewhere Else
I often pay for purchases with cash and get upset with the debit card users ahead of me that can't slide their card through right, or input a PIN number in the correct sequence. I also realize I am a minority when it comes to using cash. I have the cards but use them for other purposes such as scraping and prying. But it is only a matter of time before cash disappears altogether. Little did I figure it would be our own government that refuses to take cash first. As one retailer told me a year ago, "Where did you get that stuff anyway?" and I had to use the magic card.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Police Accident(Follow up)
Last week's first item reached a proper conclusion. The person that runs the red gets the reward. Any one of us can make an error and end up in nearly the same boat. But despite warning devices, excitement, whatever, we must always remember to drive safely
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CFLs Again
I have had my say a few times about compact fluorescent light bulbs, including the fact they have mercury in them to dispose of. I think there is another opportunity to get gouged again. Pretty soon we will have to take them to the enviro depot for disposal. Think pop cans. And the latest sponsored advertisement on TV says part of the saving is a lifespan of ten (10) years. Not in my household so far. Two of them have already been replaced in a little over a year.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
One final thought for this week. With all the TV channels we have available, there is often nothing to watch. Is TV a boring irritating distracting time filler, or is it entertainment?
This week was weak. How's yours?
