You're Getting Old When
I managed to work up enough energy to do some yard work today, the second time in less than a week. I mentioned one time that as you get older certain things change, for example when I fill out any kind of form now, when it comes to anything about age, I am in the last box.
That might be good if you are looking for a certain discount, but might be bad if certain parts cease to function or make a lot of noise when they do.
While doing the mentioned yard work which was partly composed of raking the RoseGarden, I heard a young child a few houses away ask her mom, "Who's that?" referring to me the manual labour worker at the end of the rake.
The breeze was blowing the right way and I could plainly hear mom's reply, "That's an old man raking his flower bed," she said.
So the survey sez, not only am I in the last box, I am the old guy at the end of the block.
