Hands Free - Hands Are Free

I went to a part of the province where I had never been before during a short day trip yesterday. This included driving on the four lane series highways, and some real secondary roads.

Several times I noticed a new thing happening amongst Nova Scotia drivers. Recently a law was passed where you have to use a hands free device should you desire to use your cell phone while driving.

Boy are the hands ever free! Several times cars passed me and the lone drivers were waving their hands around and pointing their fingers like they were swatting flies. At first I didn't know what they were doing as the hand motions were not directed at me.

Then the light bulb came on! Got It! Those are the people that talk with their hands. Whenever their mouth is in action, so are their hands. Without the phone to hang on to, they can wave their hands around to their hearts content.

And we thought bringing in the hands free law would keep both hands on the wheel...
