AZZ Cardfile better than cardfile exe
Today is Canada's birthday.
I have been using cardfile.exe since the days of Windows 3.1, transferring the small exe file from operating system to operating system as I upgraded through various versions of Windows. It was a simple little program that was handy for keeping track of things Rolodex or business card style. It did have some limitations. Once a card was full, if you needed more room you had to make another card. Along with that the font and style was rather limited.
In my search for a replacement I came across AZZ Cardfile. You can read my review of it on our sister site nscave.com, plus read about all it's features on the AZZ Cardfile site.
Here are some of the things I use it for:
- A perfect cardfile.exe replacement.
- It is a phonebook, keep names, addresses and other info for all your contacts.
- Business Card replacement.
- Keep your list of programs & their serial/registration numbers.
- Great place for storing all those little notes you keep about everything.
- You can use it for a 'live' notebook while you are on the phone, or copy & paste from the net.
- Batteries - keep a list of all those watch batteries and other small devices batteries.
- Keep track of all your purchase dates, warranty contact info.,etc.
This is a program that the more you use it, the more uses you will find for it. And you can find any of this information quickly when needed. There are so many things to say about this program, but that is what the feature list on their site is for, I won't repeat everything here.
Even if you never heard tell of the original cardfile program, if you need to keep track of 'stuff' like this, and nearly everybody does, read our review, visit their site for the detailed features, and download the program and give it a try. I think you will likely find it a definite keeper like I did.
There is only one thing I can't figure out. AZZ Cardfile has been around since 1998. Why was I using cardfile.exe all that time anyway?
