How's Your Housework Going? (continuing series)

Ever since it became necessary for me to do my own housework I continue to discover new things from the male perspective. For example the simple task of doing the dishes. Quite a simple routine you say? So it is up to a point.

I have a dishwasher, but it seems such a waste of power to use that thing for such a minimal amount of dishes so I elect to do them by hand. You know how it goes, get out the old dish rag (never mind the holes), a squirt or two of dish washing detergent while you add water to the sink full of dishes.

Swish them around a little after soaking, and with a little individual attention they sparkle like new bought china. (Stretching it a little here.) Placing them on the side board to drain a little it is time for the drying process with a little dish towel action.

It was then I noticed my shirt sleeves were wet. Okay soaked! How can that be? This is a dish washing expedition, not laundry. On the other hand what a novel idea, because it is the shirt sleeves and cuffs that always get dirty first. Now they are clean as can be, with no fading - yet.

I think I may have found a new version of multi-tasking while doing the dishes. Feel free to try it out. It is not patented.

Don't try this with t-shirts though, you will need a much deeper sink!
