Check Your Facebook Settings Often
There has been a lot of publicity about Facebook’s new privacy policies. It is now a complicated procedure to go through the numerous settings which are scattered all over your account tab.
My suggestion today is you should check your privacy settings often. It appears that sometimes they don’t stay where you set them, or perhaps the settings don’t ‘take’ when you change them.
Since the controversy first started I have watched my settings closely, setting nearly everything to “Friends Only.”
Twice now, upon recheck, I have found these setting set at “Friends and Network.”
I am not suggesting anything is going on, or that these settings are being changed behind your back. Maybe I am not doing it right, or perhaps the save process isn’t keeping the settings, I don’t know.
I am saying check your privacy setting often. It may be worth the few minutes it takes.
Email Malware Increase
I have noticed a huge increase in the amount and different kinds of trojans, virus and other like material arriving by email. My safety systems seem very good and delete this stuff before it reaches my system. However I do get a warning when this happens and the warnings have increased substantially.
Unless I know someone is sending me something, I do not open attachments, especially the flash type greeting cards.
In fact, a little word of warning, if you get email that says resume, cvd, order confirmation or similar things, I suggest you delete it immediately and not open, unless you really are expecting that type of email.
