Blog On The Run
One thing unique about today’s technology is that it is accessible almost anywhere. For example this blog is being written in the front seat of a SUV, miles away from any of my normal ‘home’ bases.
There are approximately six open wifi connections on which I could connect to the internet. Sadly some look like open unsecured home connections. I can’t believe that folks still do that these days, perhaps not knowing enough about the dangers, or just lax in security.
At any rate there is one public connection designed to be used appropriately. I will do my part for security and not reveal my exact location.
This edition was sort of a test to see how the blog can be compiled on the move.
It is a sure bet that this snowbird will again go south in the winter, so some problems from last year will be less so this year.
I finally figured out how to boot my home computers from a cold start by remote, and access them, making it much easier to access and backup files.
And as of today, blogging on the road is possible.
