Dog Gone

Today I came upon a traffic situation where it appeared a small dog had jumped out of a car.

That car was pulled over to the side, with a lady standing beside looking fearful at a dog who was becoming a smaller and smaller dot on the horizon.

Some distance behind it another stopped car and its helpful driver was chasing after the dog.

Doggie had a quick pee and wasn’t having any part of this obedience stuff as he headed towards a major intersection full of peak time traffic.

(No, this did not happen in a city.)

Part way through the intersection traffic came to an abrupt halt in all directions. No one wanted to run over poor little doggie.

A third lady jumps out of her car and tries to play catch the doggie.

Smart doggie, having been full trained in capture avoidance, scoots under the cars full speed coming dangerously close to another that was backing up in a parking lot.

Meanwhile traffic is criss-crossed everywhere as drivers join the jam while others attempt to drive around this foolishness without success.

Meanwhile a gentleman in a nearby business is down on his knees with his arms wide open, and the little doggie navigates there precisely to avoid all this commotion.

All I can say is, “Lady keep your window closed.” And I bet she will.
