No News

There seems to be more and more interviews in the media with folks that don’t say anything. It used to be that politicians had a reserve on this where they could go on and on for as long as necessary, answer questions, give their opinions on things affecting daily living, and not really say anything.

Now it is spreading to all areas of our lives. The interviewer asks the questions, sometimes in several different ways, and receives as many different answers. When you dissect the answers, you will find the person didn’t really say anything, not even coming close to answering the original question.

I guess that is what we want, otherwise we wouldn’t tune in. Maybe that is better than taking a subject and hashing it over for days on end with so called experts, while running the same video clips numerous times with various “zooms” to make it look like different scenes.

News is sure full of everything … but news, when you get right down to it.
