History Repeats Itself - So Many Times
If I had a computer that was ten years old that had been running steady every day as a server, that was working, but nearly worn out, would you buy it? Would you buy it for parts to keep yours running? It goes, but it is showing a lot of wear and tear, that is why I am getting rid of it. I want a new one. Would you buy it? I didn't think so.
Here we are this large country that helps out everyone else in the world at the shake of a look across the room. We bought second hand submarines for an enormous price that are about as useful as spines on a cactus. In fact the spines likely would provide more protection.
We had to buy used tanks in order to survive the elements for one of our missions. I won't go back so far where we had to borrow uniforms in order to blend in with the landscape so as not to be seen.
Now in todays news it is proposed we buy used Buffalo airplanes from Brazil in order to keep ours running until 2015. They have been in service for 40 years. The biggest need is engines. Having worked around airplanes in my past, it seems to me that engines are quite important to keep one aloft.
In fact engines are rebuilt, used for so many hours, rebuilt, used again for so many hours, rebuilt, - you get the picture. So when a country gets rid of a fleet of old airplanes, I wonder what part would likely be the most worn out?
So taxpayers, here we go again. Kind of reminds one of the yard sale of flea markets.
