Interactive Internet TV

Thunderbird - Thunderbrowse > Update from previous post.

Another tip pointed out by MASA is to "Middle click on the go button to load the typed url into a new tab." This is another good tip, for it allows you to tab back and forth between sites or your email should you need to do that in reference to something. Practice with it a little until you get the hang of it and you will find it very useful sometimes. We thank MASA for adding that.

I was reading in one of the newsletters I subscribe to how things have advanced so fast in the past few years and some of the possibilities for the future.

That got me looking around the internet a little and I ran across this site with quite a computer that just could be in our future some day. They call it Remapping the Universe.

I previously mentioned Chris Pirillo doing live shows on internet TV where the viewers can interact with him and others. Although the videos are shown prominently on YouTube, they really originate from Ustream TV.

Now Ustream has a variety of shows on there, you have to sign up to get full value from it, but it's free. Some of the stuff is "watch me in my apartment'' kind of shows, but like Chris Pirillo's show there are a lot of informative type regular shows on there too. Leo LaPorte of TechTV fame has a good series on there as another example.

With Ustream anyone can produce an interactive or regular TV show. You can be as mediocre or professional as you like. And all you need is a web cam and mic to get started. For more professional results it is advised to move up to better equipment. Hmmm can you see an NSCAVE or RoseGarden TV show in your future?

BlogTV is another that allows anyone to get involved and interact with web TV. With broadband access video has gotten a lot better in the past year to the point where it is actually quite useful even though in most cases we still look at smaller pictures instead of full screen for clarity.

CNETTV would be an example of a site of many, that provide educational and informative videos on a regular basis that are very good. By doing a little searching you can find dozens of internet TV sites no matter what your preference or taste is.

Well gotta go - look into a couple apartments - get educated on the latest gadgets - and set up a production facility.
