How do they know?

I always wait until a few bills arrive, then I pay them all at once. You know, the phone bill comes in, the cable bill arrives, the gas card one slides in, and the electrical company wants their share.

So finally you wait a week or two, figure they have all arrived for the month, and go pay the little beasts as you check your balance ( and the bank balance too.)

So you proudly check your records to make sure you haven't missed any and settle back rejoicing in the fact that you are clear for another month, relax, enjoy some quality time.

The very next day, guess what? The phone bill comes in, the cable bill arrives, the gas card one slides in, and the electrical company isn't there but the city water department wants their share.
