On A Roll - Toilet Paper
You've heard of that controversy I'm sure, of which is the correct way to put toilet paper on the roll Under? Or Over?
Now there is this way, which is often referred to as "the man's way", with the reason often stated because a man is usually sitting down when the need to use the product arises, it is easier to get hold of.
This is the other way of installation, sometimes referred to as "the women's way," because they often find it easier to use the product because in some instances they would be standing up and trying to find the end would be almost impossible without a lot of 'fiddling'.
Through no scientific studies whatsoever, I think I found the answer. It has nothing to do with whether the above statements are accurate or just a bunch of bunk!
Here's the true story, check the facts carefully. Study the picture carefully. Notice there is a furnace outlet vent directly below the toilet paper holder. If you look real close, r-e-a-l close, you will find the furnace is actually running, and the end of the toilet paper is being blown up against the roll, making it almost impossible to get hold of the end.
Now compare this photo under the same circumstances. Furnace running with the vent expelling air at its maximum capacity as before. The difference is astounding! The end of the roll is being blown outward - making it very easy to get hold of the end, no matter what the circumstance, sitting or standing.
So let this end the argument. Put the roll on so it goes over. You will be able to get hold of the end if you have a furnace vent, and even if you don't. (And you thought men only read in the bathroom - some study:)
This is not meant to take away from scientific studies or researchers anywhere.
