Trucks Fuel Rail

traintruck Most of us have been watching the price of gas steadily climb, with the prediction of record highs to come this summer. But if you are not a trucker, or don't have a diesel engine vehicle in your yard you probably have overlooked the price of diesel fuel. Well check it out, right now it is higher than gas.

Before long we will all be paying for the high price of diesel fuel. Just about everything in Canada is shipped by road these days, whether by 18 wheeler or by courier trucks. Groceries, department store goods, electronics, just about everything you can think of will have its price adjusted upwards because of the high cost of diesel.

I wondered then, and I wonder now, why many years ago Canada done away with most of their trains, when other countries were expanding rail service. Tore up the rails and sold or gave away a lot of the land. Not economical they said. Where were the environment types then?

It just seems to me that three engines pulling tons of cargo to its destination would be far more economical, and more friendly to the environment than a hundred trucks. And cheaper too!
