Never Forget Again!

You must have seen those TV advertisements where they push gadgets that makes you wonder "do people really buy that stuff?" No, not the exercise machines although they are a story in themselves.

I am thinking of the little recorder device where they say, "Never forget where you parked your car again." And a lady is shown holding the device to her ear and it says something to the effect: "Section F, Row 16," and she smiles and heads to her car.

Real life: This is what it would really be like. "Section N, Row 3." You head for your car, and then "Doh!" That was when I was at the other mall last week. No one said anything about erasing.

Then it goes on showing other fine uses. In the grocery store listening again, "Bread, eggs, butter, milk..." it says. Smiling the owner heads down the aisles.

Real life: "Bread, eggs, butter, milk..." No problem, that was easy.

You get home proud that you did not forget to pickup the requested items that you were afraid you would forget. You plunk the bags down on the kitchen counter, and your wife says: "Something wrong with you? That's the third time you brought home bread, eggs, butter and milk this week!"

No one said anything about an erase button.

Get on the phone, call 1-800-YouGuessedIt. Get another of those fandanglers to remind you to erase the first one.
