In my area with one of the TV specialty channel packages you get  a TechTV channel. Now most of these speciality channels don't offer too much, often having only a few shows that are run over and over again.

But this Tech channel has reached an all time low. They are running Christmas programs from 2007 - in September of 2008! The hosts are wearing Christmas hats and the sets are loaded with Christmas decorations.

And they are discussing the best Christmas buys! This is not one program, but several. Reruns are one thing, but when they are talking about best Christmas buys when the prices have changed dramatically, and the equipment has changed since many versions ago, what's their point?

It is often said specialty channels in Canada are not doing too well. Maybe the first step would be for them to care about the viewers. The second could be, have a little undated content.

Christmas programs in September adds more meaning to the saying "Three hundred channels and nothing to watch."
