This Weeks Ad
This is almost getting to be a regular feature. Picking out the best ad of the week from the flyers is getting easier week by week.
Take this one for example. Here we have a typical multi-use remote control (I just happen to have one of these, and it works great).
You actually program this remote on the internet, and although fairly involved, it is quite easy if you follow instructions step by step. Then the data is downloaded to your remote and you are good to go. An included cable connects the remote to your computer.
Now look closely at the top of the ad. "Installation, setup and tutorial," $99.99. So should you desire to participate in this wonderful opportunity, you are going to pay $89.99 plus tax for the remote, plus $99.99 plus tax for installation, setup and some sort of this is how you push the buttons - tutorial.
Where I live, that's over two hundred dollars for an eighty nine dollar remote. And you can do it yourself. In fact, the help button on the remote will tell you what is wrong if something doesn't work.
Do people really pay for these kinds of services? If they do I am going into business.
