Time Flies
Can't believe a whole week has passed since an update on RoseGarden. And I said I was going to update more often. I think it was that backward time change and less daylight that did it. It has been a busy week. It went like this.
- I cleaned up all my leaves in the yard. God put them all back the next day, only twice as many. I cleaned them up again. God put them back again, this time only half as many. I cleaned them again, and finally they are out there all stuffed in plastic bags. I think He was ensuring I get some exercise for a change.
- I bought me one of those windshield GPS units. Formerly I was using Streets & Trips where you had to hook up the laptop, which is a time intensive chore. This tiny unit was put to the test and came out with excellent results, never missing a spot. Amazing how accurate they can be. Mind you it did contain a little humour. I purposely programmed it to go to a new area only a year old. It led me right to the door of the brand new business. However, when I was ready to leave, I hit the home button which was supposed to give directions back to home no matter where you are. This time the screen had an orange triangle, the rest blank, and it said, "move to the nearest street". As soon as I moved a few hundred feet, it picked up all the streets again and was telling me where to go. Funny though how it could lead me there and wasn't sure how to get me out.
- I have excellent neighbours all around me, and in this day and age that is precious. While out there chatting today in the nice warm Nova Scotia temperatures that we don't usually get this time of year, one of them pushed it to the limit with his bad words. He said "snow" and "Christmas" almost in one breath. Those are two words I never want to hear, especially when the grass is still almost green and roses are still on the vine.
Anyway we should get back to a normal production schedule soon. Especially since there is more darkness than daylight in our days now. Where is it, up north where it stays daylight almost all day long?
