8 feet tall blueberry bushes
Just got an email carrying the title “Get amazing 8 feet tall blueberry bushes.” It was from Blueberry Giant. In all honesty, I didn’t open it, but it was one that did spark my imagination a little, even without opening it.
8 foot tall – that’s a lot of bush. Can I say “bush-it?”
* First Vision: Who would want an 8 foot high blueberry bush? How would you get up there to pick them? Unless the blueberry giant comes with them. Do I have to drag out the step ladder every time I want a blueberry? This sounds like an exercise in falling off the deep end to me.
* Second Vision: If everything is in proportion, that means the trunk of this blueberry bush would be a pretty large size. Well maybe not pretty, but large. Takes a lot to hold 8 foot of bush in the air you know. Maybe the next email will say “Giant 8 foot blueberry bush holder, special $99.99.”
* Third Vision: Assuming everything is in proportion, what size would these blueberries be? Blueberry bushes are normally six to eight inches high at most, so these giant 8 footers should produce blueberries around the size of a turnip or pumpkin. The saying “Going to pick blueberries,” would have to be changed to “Going to pick blueberry.”
Probably a good thing I didn’t open it. The delete key is handy for removing 8 foot high blueberry bush offers. Then again that might have been a good place to put a satellite dish.
