Forget Button

My Computer Needs A Forget Button

Those who know me realize I use the keyboard much more than the mouse. The various shortcuts and keyboard programs make things much faster and easier for me, rather than removing your hand from the keyboard, going to the mouse and back again.

Don’t get me wrong, when I get up in the morning, get my coffee and read the online newspapers, the mouse is the selector of choice. All other times, the keyboard rules.

One Button Missing

These days I find my keyboard is missing one key. Remember all those jokes about the ‘AnyKey’? Even though some people actually did look for the anykey, it was a joke.

This one is not!

My computer needs - - - a ForGet key! (This could also apply to mouse users.)

ForGetKey Haven’t you ever sat down at your computer and suddenly realize you need that notebook replacement program. What’s it called? Can’t remember the name.

Or you want to update your website. What’s that html program called? Can’t remember the name.

How can you start a program with the keyboard if you can’t remember its name? In fact, for you mousers, how can you start a program with the mouse if you don’t remember its name? Look through the menus all you want. If you don’t know the name, you aren’t going to find it.

So what I need before I get much older is a Forget key. Then, when I can’t remember the name of the program I want, I just push the Forget key and it magically appears.

MS are you listening?
