I Kept One Sock
I’m sure you have had this happen too. Be at your friend’s place, look down and there is some white on your black sock. Then you suddenly realize that white is one of your pudgy toes sticking out of a perfectly round hole in your sock. So you kinda twist the sock around until the hole is on the bottom. By scrunching up your toes a little you manage to keep it that way until departure time.
Heck even if you have white socks on, those grubby little toes reach for the lime light if there is a readily available hole.
Well that happened to me recently. And at laundry time, there is that hol-ey sock staring at me again. Out it goes, straight to the garbage.
Then the light bulb comes on and the idea hits me like a bolt of lightening. Don’t throw the good sock away!
I’ll tell you why. (You knew I would.)
How many times have have you done the wash, tossed the stuff in the dryer and when folding time comes around there is always one lone sock? Where did the other one go? Even Google doesn’t have the real answer for that.
Now I am thinking when that one lone sock shows up, I have a mate for it, because I kept the sock from the pair that had the hole that had to be thrown away. Neat huh?
Works great if all your socks are the same shade of black. Might even start a new fashion trend with the peacock crowd if they are not.
