North Is South Is North

You may recall some of my bantering about the temperatures last winter in Florida. Many of us northern folk make the trek to the south for the winter in hopes of enjoying no snow and hotter temperatures than where we live in Nova Scotia.

Well last winter, as you know, things didn’t quite work out that way. There wasn’t any snow in Panama City Beach, but there was frost on the palm trees, the roofs were white, and Big Blue was white on many a morning.

I see things are not done yet. Today the temperature where I live in Nova Scotia is 29 deg. C, 84 deg. F.

In Panama City Beach it is 21 deg. C, 70 deg. F.

That is the current afternoon temperatures for today, May 24, 2010, and I live on the coast near the ocean.

Everything seems to be going backwards. What is wrong in this world. Earthquakes destroying areas, volcanoes grounding air traffic, the earth leaking oil profusely, everything is topsy turvey, with even tomatoes growing upside down.

Strange but true, believe it or not, I can’t believe it, and all similar phrases are coming true – daily.
