The Heat Is On
No, I don’t mean Nova Scotia’s 38 to 41 deg. C. temperatures, that’s awesome. Despite all the complaining, that will soon be over. You can like the cold if you want to, I don’t.
A friend’s doctor said the other day that when a person reaches the retirement age of 65 plus, you should do all you can and whatever you can while you can.
Let’s say that again: “When a person reaches the retirement age of 65 plus, you should do all you can and whatever you can while you can.”
He went on to say that by the time you reach age 80 you won’t be able, or won’t feel like, doing much of anything. Most people don’t.
That kind of got me thinking – how true it is. There’s things I’d like to do, but didn’t really plan to right away. Yet using that theory there isn’t all that much time left.
Kind of like when people buy things and keep it for a special occasion. Then someone discovers that special item for the special day after they are gone. What a way to have a special day.
I’d better get going – to buy lottery tickets. I really do need that win so I can do all I can while I can.
