  This is the 2010 winner for the best light display in Panama City Beach.

This is an elaborate display of animation, lights and Christmas music. The small pictures don’t really show the full impact of this extensive display.  These pictures are all one house, which is decorated on every side, top to bottom, right out to the edge of the street.

The various lights simulate a lake and sand, a golf course with deer eating the grass and much more. Even the mail box is animated with a Christmas card popping in and out.

Talking to the owner, he mentioned he does a similar display for Halloween. We can only imagine what it would be like.

In discussion with our group it was mentioned you could never accomplish a display like this back home. One blanket of snow would cover much of it, a foot of snow with drifts would ruin everything. There are some special visual enhancements about having a white Christmas. There are some about not having one too.
