I Think I’m Proud
One thing I have always said. I’m proud of my country, Canada. I served my 25 years in the RCAF and was proud to do so, before I moved on to a second career, then retirement.
I have to insert two more words in that second sentence.
I think I’m proud of my country, Canada.
Today I read this article in my local newspaper. I hope its not accurate, but I have a feeling it is. (The url may change.)
We recently adopted new so called “plastic” bills which are pretty neat actually, except they tend to stick together easily. The new bills seem like a good thing, I like them.
This article describes images that were considered and rejected as these bills were being brought to use.
I can’t believe they were even considered. On top of that we pay $476,000 to a company for research into this nonsense.
I often hear “Times change.” No truer words ever said, and I wonder, is Canada, Canada?
