Panama City Beach Sunset
No matter where you are, nearly every place has a spot where beautiful sunsets take place.
In Nova Scotia where I am from, we have beautiful sunsets, especially when by the ocean. They are spectacular. And they last and last, seemingly taking a long time for the sun to gradually sink into the water, or the western horizon if you aren't near the water.
Panama City Beach Sunsets
People gather on the beach almost every evening when the weather is clear or with just a few puffy clouds, to watch the sun slip quietly into the ocean.
Panama City Beach is a beach located on the Gulf coast of Florida that is roughly 27 miles long. The terrain is relatively flat from horizon to horizon.
Because the viewing angle is so wide, and being a fair distance south, closer to the equator, sunsets appear to happen faster.
You can watch the sun gradually sink from the sky towards the water. Once the sun appears to touch the water or the low clouds, the remainder of the sunset happens very fast - in a matter of a minute or two.
The movement of the sun disappearing for the day is very noticeable, almost looking as if someone were pushing it quickly out of sight.
The end of another day like theatre curtains closing on a final scene.
