Waffle Maker Less Mess It!
I am not sure what category this falls into, but it is a neat trick. Maybe you know it already, for those who don’t its a time saver.
Home made waffles made with a waffle maker are much better than those store bought frozen ones.
Does it only happen to males, or is the result the same for everyone? You know what I mean, you mix that gloop up, trying to get it not too thick and not too thin and you plop some on the griddle (waffle maker).
Directions tell you they are done when the steam stops. They don’t tell you that unless you put in the exact amount the slimy stuff is going to ooze out everywhere, dropping on to the kitchen counter and even after you manage to clean it off the counter later, you have these dull spots to keep touching up.
It kind of makes the 5 minute waffle 5 hours of cleaning and scraping, and wastage of half a roll of paper towels.
Well here’s the answer:
Buy yourself a tin foil pan, they’re cheap, slightly larger than your waffle maker and sit the waffle maker in it.
Should any of the stuff ooze out, it drops in the tin foil pan and doesn’t stick to it. No fancy spray required.
Cleanup is a breeze and should any of the stuff end up on the pan, it is easily cleaned off with paper towel or dumped in the garbage.
Funny, since I got this setup, none as ever ooze out anymore. For some unknown reason I now know the exact amount to put in.
Thanks to Waffle House in Panama City Beach for unknowingly giving me this idea. I noticed they had their big commercial machines sitting in big easy to clean pans. I just down sized it a little.
