FreeView TV

Wink: Answer to yesterdays question and todays question see below.

G4 TechTV

I used to subscribe to this channel because it carried several computer programs that I really liked and found informative.

Later all computer programs were dropped except one, with the remainder of the programs being 'gamer oriented'. Now I am about as interested in computer games as I am sitting around watching cars rust. So after contacting them via email they responded with their program lineup schedule saying games is where it's at. So as promised, I dropped the channel from my subscriber list.

February has been free preview month in Canada which gave me the chance to check G4TechTV once again to see if anything has changed. It hasn't, it's worse. First of all there are differences between the Canadian version of the channel and the US one. Understandable perhaps, but when you hear on air hosts throwing negative comments about it, you wonder.

For the most part the only computer program left is reruns of Call For Help.(Which is cancelled and being moved to BC under the new name of LabTV. Found that out from podcasts, not the tv channel.) On each program they say go to their web site Callforhelptv.com for full information on items on the show and they give a show number. Visit the site and that show number never exists. There are numbers all around the number given, but not the one you want. That was for the entire month of February so far.

Last night I watched a show called Get Connected. It had a few interesting tidbits about new tech items on the market and clearly stated go to GetConnected.com for detailed information on the products. You guessed it, that site doesn't exist. Well it does, but it certainly doesn't have anything to do with a TV program. Go to the G4TechTV site and the program isn't even listed under their list of programs. (Special for free preview?)

I am beginning to understand why specialty channels don't do so well, and why there are so many individuals such as Chris Pirillo using podcasts and YouTube to make their own TV programs.

Yesterday's Question:
You are competing in a race and overtake the runner in second place. In which position are you now?

Answer: If you answered that you're now in first, you're wrong! You overtook the second runner and took his place, therefore you are now in second place.

Today's Question:

If you overtake the last runner, what position are you now in?
